Wabash Varsity Apaches Victorious Over Bluffton

The Wabash Varsity Apaches defeated Bluffton 6-4 on Wednesday. Bluffton got on the board in the second inning after a wild pitch scored one run. Bluffton extended its early lead with two runs in the top of the third, thanks to RBI singles by Gehrett and Blair. Wabash Varsity Apaches captured the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the fourth when Cressell drew a walk, scoring one run, Miller drew a walk, scoring one run, and Long doubled, scoring two runs. Sorg earned the win for Wabash Varsity Apaches. The pitcher gave up 10 hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. Morgan took the loss for Bluffton. The hurler went three and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs on two hits, striking out eight and walking four. McWhirt, Daughtry, Harris, Reed, and Long each collected one hit for Wabash Varsity Apaches. McWhirt, Harris, and Long each drove in one run for Wabash Varsity Apaches. Wabash Varsity Apaches were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Miller made the most plays with nine. Bluffton collected 10 hits in the game. Beste, Arnold, and Blair each collected two hits for Bluffton. Streveler, Blair, and Gehrett each drove in one run for Bluffton. Bluffton didn't commit a single error in the field. Crowder had the most chances in the field with nine. Wabash Varsity Apaches will travel to Caston for their next game on Thursday.
