Cooper Long struck out 13 batters as the right-handed pitcher led Wabash Varsity Apaches past Huntington North 6-4 on Monday. Long gave up three hits and four runs over six innings while walking four. A dropped third strike by Huntington North put Wabash Varsity Apaches on the board in the top of the first. Wabash Varsity Apaches committed an error, which helped Huntington North tie the game at one in the bottom of the first. Wabash Varsity Apaches took the lead in the top of the second.
