Wabash Middle School Girls Crush Season Times at Wildcat Classic

The Wabash Middle School girls cross country team took on the competition at Indiana Wesleyan University for the Wildcat Classic this weekend, battling not only a challenging course but also rainy, muggy conditions. Despite the wet weather and heavy air, the Lady Apaches continued to show toughness and determination from the starting line to the finish. The girls embraced the conditions, competed hard, and continued to gain valuable racing experience as the season progresses. Their efforts led them to a 12th place team finish with 15 complete teams present and 20 total schools represented in the race. Coming in first for the running Apaches race crew was 8th grader Grace Jones, with a season PR time of 13:39 and taking 31st place. Next up was 5th grader, Caroline Myers, running in with a PR time of 14:04 and placing 41st overall. Following in was 6th grader Eva Sommers with a time of 14:55 and taking 70th place in the race. Following in for the Apaches was 6th grader Ruby Cantrell with a season PR time of 15:30, only 1 second from her career PR and placing 90th overall. Not far behind was 5th grader Haven Cook with a PR time of 15:42 and taking 91st place. Right on her heels was 5th grader Marlowe Fansher with a PR time of 15:52 and in 95th place. Another Apache into the shoot was 5th grader, Lily Hearn, running in with a PR time of 15:53 and taking 96th place. The next Apache in was our 5th grader, Lola Hill, with a PR time of 15:56 and coming in 99th in the line up. Alexis Lynn, an 8th grader, followed into the shoot in 18:10 and taking 133rd place. Up next was 6th grader Rory Edwards, finishing her race with a season PR time of 18:11 and taking 135th place. Not far from her was 5th grader Lauren Cook with a PR time of 18:52 and in 142nd place. Following into the shoot was Harper Ellet, an 8th grader. Ellet ran a season PR time of 18:58 and placed 143rd. Next for the team was 6th grader, Braelyn Jones, running in with a time of 19:11 and placing 144th overall. Following into the shoot was 5th grader, Alora Hampton, with a PR time of 19:15 and finishing in 145th place. Next up was another 5th grader, Roslyn Hall, with a placement of 160th and running in with a time of 21:03. Up next for the team was 7th grader Raelyn Page with a PR time of 22:06 and taking 161st place. Rounding out the Apache line up was 7th grader Daisy Ravenscroft finishing her race in a time of 26:29 and placed 167th overall. The Lady Apaches will be back in action next weekend at West Noble, where they will look to build on the progress they’ve made and continue competing with confidence as the season moves forward
