Wabash High School

The Wabash Middle School girls cross country team traveled to West Noble to compete against a large and competitive field. The challenging course and rainy conditions made for a tough day of racing, but the Lady Apaches responded with determination and recorded an impressive number of personal records throughout both races. In the Varsity Race, Wabash finished 23rd as a team. Grace Jones led the Lady Apaches with a personal record of 13:29, placing 79th overall. Eva Sommers followed in 138th with a time of 14:56, while Lola Hill ran a PR of 15:17 to finish 148th. Marlowe Fansher continued the strong showing with a PR of 15:19 in 152nd place, followed by Ruby Cantrell, who also set a PR with a 15:25 in 156th. Lily-Ann Hearn recorded another personal best, finishing 159th in 15:38, and Haven Cook rounded out the varsity lineup in 173rd with a time of 16:40. The Lady Apaches also had a strong showing in the Reserve Race, finishing 15th as a team. Braelyn Jones led the way with a PR of 17:06, placing 115th, followed by Harper Ellet, who ran a PR of 17:19 in 120th. Alexis Lynn continued the PR streak with a 17:33 in 125th, while Lauren Cook ran a personal best of 17:40 to finish 127th. Rory Edwards finished 139th in 18:27, followed by Alora Hampton, who recorded a PR of 18:32 in 141st. Roslyn Hall finished in 21:02 for 156th, with Adelyn Edwards close behind in 157th at 22:04. Layna Eiler posted a PR of 22:05 in 158th, followed by Raelyn Paige in 159th with 24:51 and Daisy Ravenscroft in 160th with 26:13. With so many runners achieving personal records on a challenging day, the Lady Apaches showed the continued growth and hard work of the team. The middle school girls will return to competition next weekend at the Wabash Invite, where they will look to carry this momentum into their next race.
