The Wabash Middle School girls cross country team closed out their season with an outstanding performance at the RRC Meet, finishing 7th overall as a team. While the final team placement was something to be proud of, the biggest highlight of the day was the incredible individual progress shown throughout the team. The Apaches recorded 11 personal records, including an impressive 8 career PRs. For many of the girls, the final race of the season represented their fastest performance ever in cross country. The team’s improvement throughout the season was evident as the girls competed with confidence, determination, and a willingness to push themselves all the way to the finish line. Each runner contributed to a memorable final meet and demonstrated just how much they have grown since the beginning of the season. Finishing the year with 11 PRs and 8 career-best performances is a tremendous way to close out the season. More importantly, the girls showed the value of consistency, hard work, and supporting one another. The girls’ team was led by Caroline Myers, who finished with a time of 13:01, a PR. Myers placed 12th overall. Grace Jones closed out her middle school career with a 13:03 season PR in 14th place while Eva Sommers crossed the finish line in 31st place with a 14:35 PR. Marlowe Fansher came in with a PR of 14:52 in 34th followed by Lola Hill who ran a time of 15:08 in 38th place, and Ruby Cantrell close on her heels in a 15:17 PR in 41st place. Braelyn Jones finished with a PR of 15:44 in 47th place. Where Alexis Lynn closed out her middle school career and ran a 15:49 season PR in 51st place. Alora Hampton, crossed in with a PR of 17:23 taking 65th place, while Lauren Cook finished in with a PR of 17:38 in 66th place. Harper Ellet finished her MS career in 18:30 in 67th place. The Edwards sisters followed in with Rory leading the way with a 20:11 in 69th place. Adelyn Edwards rounded out her middle school career with a season PR of 20:13 in 70th place. Layna Eiler followed in 72nd place with a time of 22:50, followed by Raelyn Page finishing in 73rd place with a 22:53. Daisy Ravenscroft finished her season with a time of 25:13 and in 74th place. The Wabash Middle School girls should be incredibly proud of what they accomplished this year. They finished their final race knowing they had given everything they had—and left the course with plenty of new personal bests to show for it. Congratulations to our MS girls on an incredible season!
