Middle School Boys Cross Country Team Wins 2nd Consecutive RRC Championship; Jeffery Small Individual Champion

For the 2nd year in a row and 6th time in the past 8 years the Wabash Middle School boys cross country team are conference champions. 8th grader Jeffery Small won the individual title, defending his championship from the previous year. Running alone for a majority of the race Jeffery led from the gun to the finish line posting a time of 10:12 over the 3k course. 8th grader Easton Cantrell and 7th grader Macklin Denney earned all conference honors by virtue of their 8th and 11th place finishes. 5th graders Luke Aspinwall (13th) and Alek Aspinwall (14th), and 6th graders Lukas Rojas (15th) and Will Sullivan (17th) finished within 5 places of one another solidifying the victory. Wabash finished with 40 points, 28 ahead of 2nd place Peru (68). Maconaquah (81), Northfield (85), Lewis Cass (108), Northwestern (137), and Rochester (168) rounded out the complete teams. Aiden Young cracked the 12 minute barrier for the first time coming in 26th. Chase LaSalle ended his 5th grade campaign strong with a 49th place finish. Isaac Mattern and Leo Miles both ended the season with a lifetime PR coming in 55th and 58th respectively. Finn Fairchild finished 70th.
