Wabash Boys Cross Country Ends Season At State Finals
By Ryan Evans | Nov 1, 2026 10:32 AM
The Wabash High School boys cross country season came to an end Saturday at the state finals in Terre Haute. Junior Kamden Oswalt and Senior James Unger represented the Apaches, the first time Wabash had two individual qualifiers in the same year. After a blistering race which led to a new course record of 14:34 by Calvin Seitz, Kam and James found themselves finishing in top 50% of the field. James finished in 119th place and Kam in 138th. This marks the end of another successful season for the Wabash cross country program in which the Apaches were Sectional Champions in addition to claiming titles at the IWU Wildcat Invite, Eagle Classic, and the Apache Invite. We would like to thank all the parents and fans who have supported the program throughout the season. We wouldn't be where we are without you. Another special thanks goes out to seniors Ezra Church, James Unger, and Luis Trejo who have left an indelible mark on the program through year(s) of service to the team.
