McCann swims to 1st place at Warsaw Invitational

Wabash High School Sophomore Cael McCann won first place in the boys 50 free at the Warsaw Invitational on Saturday, winning the event by over one second. McCann also finished third in the 100 butterfly. Senior Nicholas Perkins took second in the 100 freestyle and fourth in the 50 free. McCann and Perkins teamed with Junior Chase Howard and Sophomore Isaiah Jones to take second in the 200 free relay and 400 free relay. Howard also finished 5th in the 100 breaststroke and tied for 6th place in the 200 IM. Jones finished eighth in the 100 freestyle and tenth in the 200 freestyle. For the girls, Freshman Quinn Myers finished third in the 50 freestyle and 5th in the 100 freestyle. Junior Nonoka Higuera took sixth in the 200 freestyle and seventh in the 500 freestyle. Freshman Rinka Higuera finished ninth in the 100 breaststroke and tenth in the 200 Individual Medley. Junior Abbi Hipskind claimed tenth in the 100 breaststroke. Hipskind, Junior Kenzie Brown, N, Higuera, and Myers teamed up to take fourth place in both the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. More results from the Warsaw Invitational are below.
