vs Eastbrook High School The first match up of the day ended in a 0-0 tie. Eastbrook pressed the Wabash defense throughout but couldn't break down the back line led by Derek Reed and Prestyn Jones. Goalkeeper Caleb Daugherty collected some impressive saves to keep the score at zero. Ty Carpenter and Owen Honeycutt anchored the midfield with Carpenter taking a free kick midway through to threaten the Eastbrook goal. Varsity vs Oak Hill High School Oak Hill put on an offensive display, but only managed to get 2 goals past the stout Wabash Defense. Jose Robles, Reed, and Jones put in another solid turn in the defense. Ty Carpenter, stepped into the defense late in the match and had some impressive stops. Edin Choc and John Harris showed some flash in the midfield. Wabash opens the regular season on Thursday, 8/22 in a home match versus Mississinewa.
