A short-handed Wabash team battled for a full 80 minutes against a tough Mississinewa squad. A couple of defensive lapses led to 2 Ol' Miss goals in the first 20 minutes. Wabash solidified defensively to hold off the Mississinewa attack for the rest of the half. Mississinewa got going quickly in the second half scoring in the first minute of the second half. Wabash began to establish some rhythm in the second half behind some quality passing by Ty Carpenter and Prestyn Jones. Max Carpenter stepped up the hustle and won several balls in the attacking third. Caleb Daugherty recorded 14 saves in goal. Luis Trejo and Braxten Shilder put in some serious minutes in their first-ever varsity soccer game. Wabash travels to Maconaquah on Saturday for a TRC match that kicks off at 12 noon.
