Wabash Lady Apache Soccer won their season opener at Tippecanoe Valley with a score of 4-0. Goalkeeper Kait Honeycutt had 5 saves to secure the shutout, along with great defensive play from Jaycee Jones, Colleena Meadows, Samantha Walter and Abbie Hipskind. Gracie Napier controlled the center of the field for Wabash and distributed very well as the Wabash offense pushed the Valley defense the entire game. Shots on goals game from Hipskind, Raegan Jones, Emma Weaver, Napier, Logan Wright and Brooklyn Buzzard. Buzzard completed a hat trick tonight with 2 unassisted goals and 1 goal assisted by Hipskind. Napier also scored for the Lady Apaches tonight assisted by Wright. Wabash is now 1-0 on the season and plays on Saturday at Maconaquah to open their TRC conference play.
