Girls Middle School Cross Country Team Takes Second At Mississinewa Invite

The Lady Apaches had their first meet of the season this Saturday morning. Setting off into the heat of the day, the girls knew that they had work to do to kickstart their season opener. Running fast first miles across the team, the girls pushed through and paced themselves to amazing times and excellent placement all around. The girls raced against 43 individuals, six teams in all. Their efforts earned them a 2nd place team finish! Coming in first for the running Apache crew was 7th grader, Teresina Cordes, running a time of 11:53, winning the race and also breaking the Mississinewa Invite meet record! Second for the team was another 7th grader, Sutton Stoffel, running in with a time of 13:47 and placing 4th overall. Coming in 7th place was 6th grader, Grace Jones, running a career starting time of 14:10. Next was 7th grader, Kinslee McBride, running in with a time of 15:25 and taking 17th place. Close behind her was Briar Stoffel, another 7th grader, running in 20th place with a time of 15:47. Alexis Lynn, another 6th grader, followed in behind Stoffel with a career starting time of 16:30 in 27th place. Next for the Apache crew was Adelyn Edwards, a 6th grader, running a PR time of 20:59 and finishing in 39th place. Rounding out the Apaches was Harper Ellet, running a time of 21:04 and taking 40th place overall. Today was a great day to be in a running Apache! The girls have started the 2024 season with all legs race ready!
