Wabash Boys Soccer lost their TRC opener to Maconaquah 0-4. The Apaches revamped their formation before the match and the three-man back line of Derek Reed, Prestyn Jones and Jose Robles gelled quickly to keep the Braves off the scoreboard for the first 20 minutes. Maconaquah managed to score twice in the middle of the half to make it 0-2 at halftime. The heat on the field took its toll in the second half but the Apaches were able to mount a couple of promising attacks against the run of play. Ty Carpenter and Lucas Coffman put together some fine passing combos. Max Carpenter and Riley King stepped up defensively to hold the Maconaquah attack to only 2 more goals in the second half. Wabash returns to action on Thursday when they travel to Manchester for another TRC match.
