An excellent effort on Saturday morning resulted in an Apache victory at the Wapahani Invitational. A 1,2,3 finish led by Jace Bullins, who was the individual race champion, propelled Wabash to the victory with a score of 18 points. Second place Wapahani finished with 47. Completing the trio of top three finishers were Isaiah Cordes who came in 2nd overall and Jonas Church who finished 3rd. On their heels finishing in 5th was Brett Shull with Caidan Burchett in 7th. Kasen Oswalt notched a top 10 finish, coming in 9th. Younger brother Kamden Oswalt came in 12th - the top freshmen in the race. Matthew Niles added to the Apache success with a 17th place finish and Maverick Sommers flew to a 26th place finish. There were 79 total runners in the race. The Apaches will be in action next week when they head a little ways north to compete in the Manchester Invitational.
