Oak Hill's size and speed were the deciding factor in Wabash's loss Tuesday night. The Apaches got off to a bad start by allowing the Eagles to score in the first two minutes. The back line of Derek Reed, Jose Robles and Riley King defended bravely all night but were consistently facing wave after wave of attacks as Oak Hill looked to overwhelm the defenders with off-the-ball runs. Jake Vandergrift made several fine saves en route to a 9 save night. His calm presence in goal kept the Apaches in the game for long stretches. Ty Carpenter masterminded some of the best passing we've seen out of the midfield this season, but it wasn't enough to hold back the Oak Hill attack. Wabash is back in action tonight for their first-ever meeting with Lapel.
