Middle School Girls Took 7th Place at IWU

The Lady Apaches set out midday to race at the Wildcat Classic this Saturday. Racing midday, the girls set their sights on running fast knowing that the course is built for speed. The Apaches ran through the course dodging the sun as they made their way to the first mile. Pushing through the last 1,000k of their race, the girls crossed the finish line one by one. The team earned a 7th place team finish out of 12 complete teams. Coming in first for the running Apache crew was 7th grader Teresina Cordes, coming in 5th place with a time of 12:31. Second for the team was a 7th grader, Sutton Stoffel, running in with a time of 14:43 and placing 35th overall. Next was a 6th grader, Grace Jones, running a time of 14:50, and finishing in 37th place. Coming in behind her in 48th place was 7th grader Briar Stoffel, running a time of of 15:35. Next into the shoot was 7th grader, Kinslee McBride, running in with a time of 16:03 and taking 54th place. Coming in next was our 8th grader, Emma Cantrell, with a time of 19:21 and placing 80th as an individual. Following closely was 6th grader Alexis Lynn with a time of 20:01 in 83rd place. Our Apache squad was finished out by two 6th graders. Harper Ellet finished her race in 22:40 and placed 95th overall. Rounding out the Apaches was Adelyn Edwards with a time of 23:13 and placing 96th over all. The girls will be running again next weekend at West Noble!
