Wabash Middle School Girls Take 19th Place at West Noble

The running Lady Apaches took off on Saturday morning to race at the West Noble’s Chuck Schlemmer Memorial Invitational. Racing with the fog gone and the heat rising, the girls set their sights on running hard. The girls wanted to pursue the course with the mindset of challenging themselves. Pushing through the last loop of their race, the girls crossed the finish line one by one. The team earned a 19th place team finish out of 34 teams. Coming in first for the running Apache crew was 7th grader Teresina Cordes, coming in 7th place with a season PR time of 11:45, only 4 seconds away from beating the school record time. Second for the team was a 7th grader, Sutton Stoffel, running in with a time of 14:24 and placing 115th overall. Next was a 6th grader, Grace Jones, running a time of 14:28, and finishing in 121st place. Coming in behind her in 129th place was 7th grader Kinslee McBride, running a season PR time of 14:40. Next into the shoot was 7th grader, Briar Stoffel, running in with a time of 16:05 and taking 161st place. Following in was 6th grader Alexis Lynn with a time of 20:09 in 183rd place. Rounding out the Apaches was 6th grader Adelyn Edwards with a PR time of 20:56 and placing 187th over all. There were 189 runners in the varsity race. The girls will be running again next weekend on their home course!
