Apache Boys Cross Country Team Defends Home Course

The Wabash boys varsity cross country team won their home invitational at the city park Tuesday afternoon against Lewis Cass, Northfield, and Whitko. Jonas Church repeated as race champion, defending his title from the previous year as Wabash scored 23 points to outdistance Lewis Cass (42) and Northfield (64). Whitko did not field a compete team. Jace Bullins finished 3rd in a gutsy performance. Caidan Burchett was Wabash's #3 runner finishing behind Bullins in 4th place. Brett Shull led the next group of Apaches as he finished in 7th place. Following him was Kasen Oswalt in 8th and Kamden Oswalt in 9th. Maverick Sommers came in 20th as the #7 runner on the team. The Apaches are off this weekend in preparation for the conference meet next Saturday.
