The Wabash High School boys varsity boys cross country team raced to their 3rd consecutive Three Rivers Conference Championship on Saturday morning. This marks the 7th time in the last 8 years that the Apaches have claimed the top spot in the conference. Wabash scored 26 points, outdistancing 2nd place Manchester (76 points) and 3rd place Lewis Cass (86). Maconaquah (4th), Northwestern (5th), Northfield (6th), and Peru (7th) rounded out the rest the complete teams. Led by individual champion Jonas Church, the Apaches placed 6 runners in all conference position (top 12) and 8 runners in the top 20. Jace Bullins finished 3rd and Isaiah Cordes 4th. The trio of Church, Bullins, and Cordes all finished within 10 seconds of each other. Brett Shull led the next trio of Apaches coming in 8th, with Caidan Burchett in 9th, and Ezra Church in 10th - racing for the first time since his stress fracture in late July. Kamden Oswalt, the top freshman in the race came in 15th. Kasen Oswalt came in 19th with a gutsy performance. Drew Guenin-Hodson running in his second race of the season, finished in 30th.
