Boys Middle School Cross Country Finishes 3rd In RRC Behind Gutsy Performances, Many Personal Records

The Wabash Middle School boys cross country team ended their season with a 3rd place finish in the Running Rivers Conference Meet Saturday morning. After battling injury and pneumonia this season, 6th grader Jeffery Small was the first Apache to cross the line, coming in 13th, a true testament to his grit. 7th grader Kedryn Evenson, who himself has had bouts of sickness and injury was the 2nd Wabash runner in, finishing 15th. Landen Fisher crushed his personal record by 24 seconds while coming in 17th. Kalib Mabery's annihilation of his personal record by an astonishing 55 seconds led him to 21st place. Barrett Jones and Easton Cantrell continued the PR trend coming in 25th and 27th places respectively. Not to be outdone Demetri Shull cruised to his PR coming in 30th in the process. Maesyn Jones was close behind in 32nd, also beating his PR. First year runner Benjamin Wagner destroyed his PR by over 1:30, coming in 45th. Phoenix Brown and Aiden Young worked together all race to crush their PR's, finishing in 48th and 49th. Bennett Fry beat his PR and Finn Fairchild beat his season PR coming in 70th and 71st.
