Higuera Breaks Record; Apaches 2nd in Triple Dual

Sophomore Rinka Higuera broke the Wabash High School record in the 100 Breaststroke Tuesday night as the Apaches finished second in a triple dual with Culver Academies and Pioneer. Higuera finished first in the event, winning by over 10 seconds. The Apaches relay team of Abbi Hipskind, Rinka Higuera, Emma Coffman, and Nonoka Higuera won the 400 Free Relay. N. Higuera took second and Coffman took fourth in the 200 Freestyle. R. Higuera swam to a third place finish in the 200 IM. Hipskind finished second and Coffman was fourth in the 50 Freestyle. In the 100 Freestyle, Hipskind was third and N. Higuera was fourth. The Apaches took second in the 200 Free Relay (Hipskind, R. Higuera, Coffman, N. Higuera). The Apaches swim at Tippecanoe Valley on December 2.
