It was a great day to be an Apache! The 4x800 relay of Jonas Church, Caidan Burchett, Jace Bullins, and Ezra Church won the indoor state title Saturday at the 2025 Hoosier State Relays with a time of 8:10.52. It was the first indoor state title in school history for Wabash and the best time run by an Apache 4x800 relay indoors. Coleson Kugler added 5 points to the team total with 4th place finish in the 60m dash. Kugler dipped under the 7 second barrier for the first time ever with a 6.96 in the prelims and a 6.99 in the finals. The distance medley relay of Jace Bullins, Coleson Kugler, Jonas Church, and Ezra Church put 8 more points on the board with a 5th place finish in a new school record time of 10:47.28. The 4x400 meter relay of Bobby Shull, Isaiah Jones, Kristian Stanton, and Preston Cantrell competed fiercely finishing 24th. The 33 team points accumulated were good enough for a 4th place finish in the state. This finish bested the previous years team standing (5th). This concludes the indoor portion of the season. The Apaches will return to action after spring break.
