On a night where multiple state track meet records fell, the Wabash High School boys track team set some of their own. Coleson Kugler became the first Wabash track athlete to become all-state in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes. He finished 9th in the 100 and 7th in the 200, smashing his own school records in the process. He clocked an amazing 10.73 in the 100 and 21.40 in the 200. The 4x800 meter relay of Jonas Church, Caidan Burchett, Jace Bullins, and Ezra Church also set a new school record - 8:00.72 finishing 19th, 7 places ahead of where they were seeded. The results Saturday were a culmination of the hard work and dedication throughout the season and the winter by these young men. Qualifying for the state finals didn't just happen because they wanted it to, it was a direct result of the consistency of training and making the decision to get a little better every day.
