The Lady Apaches soccer team ended in a tie in their game on Saturday vs Logansport. Wabash found themselves down a goal early in the first half. In the pouring rain, the girls reorganized their defense and created some scoring opportunities themselves with shots on goals coming from seniors Raegan Jones and Logan Wright. Wabash still continued to be down 1-0 until less than 10 minutes left of play, when freshman Baelee Noland shielded a ball just outside of the 18 and got pushed down. That play earned the Lady Apaches a direct kick just outside of the box, which senior Logan Wright put away into the far, upper corner of the net to tie the game. Freshman goalkeeper Brynn Lindsay did a great job in goal with the wet conditions, she had 5 saves for the game. Strong defensive minutes from Senior Jaycee Jones, sophomores Olivia Wilkin and Colleena Meadows and freshmen Ember Christle and Taylin Fager. Freshmen Alyssa Rose, Hope Fritter, Baelee Noland and Sienna Stoffel played well in the midfield winning and maintaining possession and sparking offensive opportunities. The Wabash Lady Apaches soccer team is back in action on Tuesday at North Miami.
