Tennis Tops Whitko 4-1 Wabash Boys Tennis headed into Wildcat country for the Final TRC match up of this season. The rain held off, the sun peaked out and provided a great backdrop for a night of tennis. Wabash pulled out the win over the shorthanded Whitko program 4-1. 1 and 2 singles were quick and efficient matches for the Apaches. Mattern at 1 singles and Long at 2 singles began play at the same time and walked off the court likewise with 6-0, 6-0 victories. 3 singles is recorded as a win for Eli Dafoe in a forfeited match by Whitko. The doubles matches were competitive for both teams. With an adjusted lineup, the Apaches plays Mckenzie and Pence in the 1 dubs spot. After a back and forth match, the 1 doubles point went to the Apaches in 2 sets with a score of 6-4, 7-6 (11-9). The 2 doubles spot occupied by Reed Wiles and TJ Tracy was unable to find any kind of consistent play resulting in a loss 4-6, 6-2 and in the super tie break 6-10. The Apaches finish the TRC season 3-4. Wabash travels to Blackford Thursday for the final dual match of the 2025 season.
