Middle School Boys Cross Country Team Wins Conference Championship; Small Individual Champion

The Wabash Middle School boys cross country team captured the 2025 RRC championship Saturday morning at Manchester. 7th grader Jeffery Small was individual winner with a time of 10:31. Easton Cantrell and Demetri Shull both crushed personal records in route to a 7th and 8th place finish respectively. Macklin Denney wasn't far behind, coming in 14th with a new personal record. Alex Perkins came in 21st to earn a new PR as well. These five finishers gave Wabash a score of 51, three points ahead of 2nd place Rochester. Manchester finished 3rd with a score of 68. Peru, Maconaquah, Lewis Cass, and Northwestern all followed. Northfield, Whitko, and Southwood did not have complete teams. Phoenix Brown finished in 31st with Lukas Rojas (34th) and Aiden Young (37th) right behind him. Barrett Benzinger improved greatly on his personal record, coming in 50th. Finn Fairchild ended the season with a monster personal record coming in 59th in the process. Isaac Mattern also crushed his PR coming in 61st This concludes an amazing middle school season.
