Wabash Girls Varsity Soccer Fall in Sectional Game

By Keisha Wright | Oct 8, 2025 7:27 AM

The Wabash Lady Apaches fell to South Adams in the opening round of the girls varsity soccer sectionals. Wabash played what was arguably their best half of soccer all season, scoring the first goal of the game and leading 1-0 for most the of the half. The goal came off of a beautiful corner kick from senior Logan Wright and freshman Baelee Noland perfecting redirecting the ball into the the back of the net. South Adams scored before the end of the half and put the teams tied 1-1 going into halftime. The strong South Adams team was able to capitalize on 3 goals in the 2nd half to end the Wabash Lady Apache soccer season. Freshman goalkeeper Brynn Lindsay played an incredibly strong once again with 13 saves on the night. Wabash offensive shots came from Wright and Noland. Seniors Jaycee Jones and Reagan Jones along with freshman Ember Christle and sophomore Colleena Meadows played a great defensive game for Wabash. It was exciting to watch this young team put together a lot of pieces in their sectional game and play their best soccer on a big stage. As this season as ended, the Wabash girls varsity soccer program would like to thank Seniors Raegan Jones, Jaycee Jones and Logan Wright for the time, effort and positive leadership they have provided over their years in this program. Wabash is very excited to what is to come with this young team and Lady Apache Soccer!
