Three determined members of the Wabash Lady Apaches cross country team toed the line Saturday morning at the New Haven Regional, facing one of the most competitive fields in northern Indiana. Representing Wabash were Mya Golliher, Mia Fairchild, and Mallory Tart, each giving their all on the challenging Huntington University course. Under crisp fall skies and fast conditions, the trio raced with heart and composure, carrying the Apache spirit into every stride. Golliher led the group with a strong and focused performance, pacing herself against some of the area’s top runners. She finished her season with a time of 21:25 and taking 102nd place. Fairchild followed close behind, showcasing her trademark toughness and closing speed through the final stretch. Fairchild raced in with a time of 21:33 and taking 116th place. Tart rounded out the Wabash trio, pushing through with steady determination and a positive mindset from start to finish. Tart finished her race with a 22:22 and a 156th place finish. There were 243 total runners in the Regional race. While the day marked the end of the season for the girls, the Lady Apaches’ showing at Regionals reflected months of dedication, growth, and grit. Each runner proved that hard work and heart can carry athletes far beyond the finish line—leaving a legacy of effort and pride for the Wabash cross country program. The Lady Apaches now close out their 2025 cross country season with heads held high, grateful for the miles shared and the memories made.
